Have you ever wondered what Saint Paul called “His gospel”??? I did until I read N.T. Wright. His claim is that Paul preached a gospel that was counter-Roman Empire. “Jesus the Christ is Lord… Therefore, Ceasar is not!!”

The very phrase “Kingdom of God” has a counter-imperial challenge embedded within it. Yet, as N T Wright says, there is a double challenge, for Jesus challenged normal modes of revolution as well.
